Nakashima: An Evolving Legacy

In 2013, the Nakashima studio presented “An Evolving Legacy,” featuring designs by Mira Nakashima and by me. While Mira and I often worked to classical music, I saw a connection between the visual geometry of harmonograph patterns and the parabolas and proportions in George’s designs. These relationships inspired the three works I designed for the show. In 2022, I had the opportunity to make the Carpenter Coffee Table.
